Employee Plus
About Us
Purpose:
The Employee Plus + Committee is an opportunity for all agency staff to participate in an employee-led committee that focuses broadly on employee social needs, provides opportunities to engage with the community and provides an opportunity to participate in organized employee social events and activities.
Fundraising: This committee plans several functions during the year to raise money for employee social (see below) activities as well as community giving.
Community Involvement: This committee includes the coordination of Meals on
Wheels volunteers, donation of school supplies, donation of Easter baskets and Adopt a Resident. This committee coordinates the agency’s involvement in community causes.
Social: This committee plans activities throughout the year, with an emphasis on team building, morale boosting, culturally aware opportunities to connect as an agency. An agency holiday party is the responsibility of this committee; the committee determines the scale of the holiday event based on an assessment of finances and work responsibilities. This committee is also responsible for providing cards to staff members who have experienced the loss of a relative. This committee recognizes our veteran employees when they retire by providing members a retirement gift at $5 per year of service with a maximum gift of $50. Nonmembers will receive a maximum gift of $25. Some social events will be offered at no cost to all employees. Selected social events will be offered to Employee Plus + Committee members at a reduced cost.
All teams are asked to participate in Employee Plus + meetings and activities. A designated representative can be selected by each team, or attendance can be rotated among team members.
