Motivates Others to be Responsible Employees (MORE)

Job Readiness Class is offered at the Wilson County Department of Social Services. The class offers participants tips and techniques to enhance their job search, parenting and budgeting skills through the MORE Job Readiness Class. Topics covered are: Maintaining a Positive Attitude while you Job Search; Accurately Completing Job Applications online and on paper; Answering Interview Questions; Interview; Follow-up Techniques; Appropriate Attire for Interviews; Parenting Skills; Managing your Money.

 

Work First Family Assistance

This program simulates employment and is a “Work for Benefits” program. It is designed to offer supportive services to assist families with obtaining and maintaining employment. A temporary financial assistance program is available for families experiencing a temporary break in employment due to an unforeseen circumstance. Programs such as Short -term Cash Assistance and Social Work Support Services are also available for unemployed families or relatives caring for minor family members of children under age 18.
