The NC Department of Correction supervises adult offenders who are on probation and parole. Provides chemical dependency, substance abuse treatment and intervention services. It also operates various prisons that offer dental and mental health care services. Also provides advocacy and family support services to crime victims. The department operates through prisons, community corrections and administration divisions. At Al-Anon Family Group meetings, the friends and family members of problem drinkers share their experiences and learn how to apply the principles of the Al-Anon program to their individual situations. They learn that they are not alone in the problems they face, and that they have choices that lead to greater peace of mind, whether the drinker continues to drink or not. Sponsorship gives members an opportunity to get personal support from someone more experienced in the program. These relationships are voluntary. Members ask another member to be their Sponsor when they believe that person will be suitable as a mentor in applying the program. And, the 12-Step Program helps families of alcoholics to support and help to overcome their addition.

Eastpointe will help you if you need Mental Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and/or Substance Abuse Services. The staff will ask questions to find out how to help you, find the right services for you, make referrals for you, schedule outpatient appointments, and help with crisis and emergency situations. Educating caregivers on topics such as dementia, behavioral interventions, communication, medication issues and much more. GAST strives to empower caregivers with the necessary resources to keep their loved ones at home where they belong for as long as possible. If your loved one can no longer be maintained safely at home, GAST services expand into the facility in which you place your trust for the care of your loved one deserves.

Our program provides monthly benefits allowing low-income households to buy food. The amount of assistance depends on a family’s eligibility.
